J. Michael DeTreville is a Family Law group attorney and shareholder in Saxton & Stump’s Charleston, S.C., office. He is the former co-owner and managing partner at DeTreville Law & Mediation in Charleston and is a city native. He has 20 years of experience in complex, high-end family law cases involving divorce, alimony, custody (including modification of custody orders), property division, parental rights, prenuptial agreements, adoption, paternity, and child support. He works to provide each client with the best possible strategy and outcome for each unique situation.
In addition to his work as a trial attorney, Michael is also skilled in mediation, helping clients resolve issues outside of the court system.
Michael graduated from the University of South Carolina with an undergraduate degree and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
