Melissa Jabour is a member of the Saxton & Stump Healthcare Litigation group in the firm’s Lancaster office. She represents healthcare providers and systems, medical professionals, insurance companies and other healthcare entities in medical malpractice cases. She has the unique perspective of working the first 10 years of her career on the plaintiff side of medical malpractice and medical devices cases, but now she uses her experience to defend her clients. She was a partner at her former Lancaster firm, where she developed experience in strategizing and analyzing cases, drafting pleadings, preparing witnesses, assisting with arbitrations and mediations, handling negotiations and efficiently managing staff.
Melissa also has worked pro bono with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center, where she helps immigrant domestic violence victims reach protected immigration status in the federal U Visa program. She is on the board of directors at Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning, an organization that provides interest-free loans to Lancaster County students in support of their post-secondary goals.
She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
She graduated magna cum laude from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She is also the current vice chair of the Lancaster Bar Association Professionalism and Ethics Section.
