Dr. David Carroll is a medical consultant in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine. He is currently an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Medical University of South Carolina.
He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center from 2016 to 2020. He then completed a fellowship in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology at Duke University from 2020-2021. In 2021, he began working at MUSC.
He is board certified in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology as well as Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. He serves on multiple national committees.
Dr. Carroll received his doctorate from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine after earning his bachelor’s degree from Towson University.
