MALVERN, Pa., January 6, 2026 — Saxton & Stump announced today the promotion of Zachary J. Duffy and Bijan K. Ghom to equity shareholder, effective Jan. 1, recognizing their leadership, client impact, and growing roles in advancing the firm’s long-term strategy across multiple markets.
“These promotions demonstrate the strength of our leadership pipeline and our commitment to investing in attorneys who build lasting client relationships,” Saxton & Stump Chairman James W. Saxton said. “Zach and Bijan bring sound judgment, collaborative leadership, and a clear focus on client outcomes. As shareholders, they will play an increasingly important role in shaping the firm’s future and supporting our clients over the long term.”
Based in the firm’s Malvern, Pa., office, Duffy is a member of the Healthcare Litigation Group, where he has built a distinguished practice defending healthcare organizations, hospitals, and physicians in medical professional liability matters. His strong advocacy has earned multiple recognitions on Best Lawyers in America®’s “Ones to Watch” list from 2021 through 2025 in the Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants category.
Duffy earned his J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and his B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College.
“From the start, I’ve had the opportunity to work with talented colleagues across the firm and draw on a deep bench of resources to serve our clients effectively,” Duffy said. “That collaborative environment allows us to deliver strong results, particularly in complex healthcare litigation matters, and I’m grateful for the firm’s support as I take on this next role.”
Ghom joined the firm’s Charleston, S.C., office in 2022 and maintains a wide-ranging practice across the business, litigation, labor & employment, and intellectual property groups. He also serves as an integral member of Palq IP, Saxton & Stump’s strategic intellectual property affiliate, where he supports innovative approaches to protecting and commercializing intellectual property. Ghom was promoted to senior counsel in 2023, emphasizing the firm’s confidence in his leadership trajectory.
Best Lawyers has named Ghom to its “Ones to Watch” list in South Carolina in Commercial Litigation since 2021, and in Corporate Law on the 2025 and 2026 lists. He has also been recognized as a South Carolina “Super Lawyer” since 2022, and the Charleston Regional Business Journal named him to its annual “Forty Under 40” list in 2025.
Ghom earned his J.D. from Charleston School of Law, his M.B.A. from the College of Charleston, and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
“I joined Saxton & Stump in Charleston when the firm first opened its office here in 2022,” Ghom said. “It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Like many successful firms, Saxton & Stump attracts many brilliant and gifted lawyers. What sets the firm apart is its unwavering commitment to providing clients with exceptional lawyers, not just good ones. The firm provides the tools and creates a flexible, collaborative, and supportive environment so that its lawyers can be exceptional. Personally, I have benefited tremendously from the firm’s environment and resources, and I truly appreciate the confidence the firm has placed in me.”
