Gov. Tom Wolf has updated the list of businesses considered “life-sustaining” under the Governor’s March 19, 2020 order requiring non-life-sustaining businesses to close physical operations. Among the businesses now specifically permitted to operate are:

  • accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services
  • traveler accommodation (hotels and motels)
  • dry-cleaning and laundry
  • industries in the agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting and mining quarrying and oil and gas extraction sectors
  • emergency construction repairs

As before, virtual or telework operations are permitted for all businesses. Click here to see the full list of businesses. The Governor also amended his original order to provide that enforcement actions will begin Monday, March 23, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. Click here to read the order amendment.
