Judge Lawrence F. Stengel (Ret.) sat down with Lori Burkholder of WGAL to discuss his appointment as special investigator in the National Football League’s (NFL) concussion settlement program.
Stengel was appointed to this position by U.S. District Judge Anita Brody of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in December 2018. As the only special investigator appointed to the case, Stengel will support the implementation of the settlement agreement by leading the investigation of possibly fraudulent claim submissions and making recommendations to the special masters overseeing the administration of the fund.
