LANCASTER, Pa., February 1, 2023 — We are proud to announce that Saxton & Stump attorney Kiandra D. Steffy has been named to the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board. The board is responsible for the administration of rules pertaining to the continuation of legal education for attorneys in the state and is an agency of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
The term of the board position runs through Jan. 1, 2026.
“Since she has come to Saxton & Stump, Kiandra has always been active in bar associations and in the community,” Saxton & Stump CEO James W. Saxton said. “We are pleased to see her receive an impressive nomination with the state’s highest court and look forward to the positive impact she will doubtlessly make within our profession through this appointment.”
Steffy is senior counsel in the Saxton & Stump Labor and Employment, Title IX, Investigations and Criminal Defense, Education and Commercial Litigation groups. This latest recognition for Steffy comes after the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania named her in 2022 to a Merit Selection Panel for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, a committee assigned to help fill a federal magistrate judge vacancy. Steffy also currently is a director at large on the Lancaster Bar Association Board of Directors and serves as chair of the association’s Diversity Committee. She also is a board member for the LINK Foundation, which provides monetary grants to local nonprofit organizations, and is a member of the board of trustees at the New School of Lancaster. In 2021, she was named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and was named a “Distinguished Leader” by The Legal Intelligencer in 2017.
Steffy earned her J.D. from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Maryland.
