Prominent Philadelphia attorney Sara Petrosky joins Saxton & Stump, one of 10 attorneys added in past four months

LANCASTER, Pa., November 4, 2021 Attorney Sara Lynn Petrosky has joined Saxton & Stump as Senior Counsel, adding another resource for the firm’s Healthcare Litigation and Mitigation clients. The hire highlights a period of marked growth for the Pennsylvania-based firm. Over the past four months, the firm has added ten attorneys, opened an out-of-state office in Charleston, S.C. and expanded their offices in Malvern, Pa. and Harrisburg, Pa. Petrosky, who has more than 30 years of experience representing healthcare clients in the greater Philadelphia area, will join the firm’s well-respected Healthcare Litigation and Mitigation team. Four other attorneys have joined the firm in the past month, including attorneys Jacqueline Egan, Eli Lachenman, Cailly Simpson and Lance Greene.

Petrosky has spent over 30 years representing doctors, hospitals and other medical facilities and practitioners. Twenty-five of those years were at Philadelphia-based medical defense firm, McCann Law, focusing on representing the medical community in addition to handling product liability matters. She began her career with Pepper Hamilton & Scheetz (now Troutman Pepper) and also practiced at Morgan Lewis & Bockius. She served on the State Board of Medicine and also has a track record of public service. Petrosky was previously the executive director for the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Volunteers for Indigent Program that provides legal services to underserved communities.

She has also served for 12 years on the Board of Commissioners of Nether Providence Township, Delaware County, including six years as President of the Board. Petrosky also served on the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession, the Board of Family and Community Services of Delaware County, and the Delaware County Open Space Committee. Being passionate about animals, she served four years on the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Farm Sanctuary which rescues farmed animals and provides them sanctuary. She received her J.D. cum laude from Temple University’s School of Law and her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Messiah College.

A growing litigation team

The team continues to grow, recently welcoming associate attorney Cailly A. Simpson in Malvern, who is also a registered nurse. She previously practiced as a nurse at NYU Langone Health in New York City and University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. Simpson received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and her BSN cum laude from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. They have also added former assistant district attorney (ADA) in the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office Lance D. Greene, Esq. Greene earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Massachusetts.

The firm’s newest office location in Charleston, S.C. has also been growing, adding Senior Counsel Jacqueline Egan and associate attorney Eli Lachenman. Egan and Lachenman both earned their J.D. from The Charleston School of Law. They practice under the name Spitz & Neville and handle a variety of business, commercial, real estate, liability and litigation matters.
