Saxton & Stump Attorneys Receive Defense Verdict Via Binding Arbitration in Case Filed Against Multiple Physicians

We achieved a defense verdict via binding arbitration in a case filed against multiple physicians involving the alleged failure to timely diagnose a necrotic gallbladder resulting in the unfortunate death of a young, male patient. Through strong expert support coupled with painstaking witness preparation, the defense was able to effectively demonstrate that this medically complex patient received appropriate treatment and underwent proper evaluations and testing throughout his admission. The arbitrator concluded that the defendants met the standard of care and there was no reason for the Defendants to suspect that the patient had a necrotic gallbladder/surgical abdomen during his several day admission until he unexpectedly and rapidly deteriorated.
