Saxton & Stump is pleased to announce that attorney Stephen J. Fleury Jr. has been elevated to equity shareholder at the firm. Fleury, who came to Saxton & Stump in 2018, is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Group as well as the Investigations and Criminal Defense Group. He focuses his practice on labor and employment law, representing employers and insurers in administrative hearings and state and federal court for claims pertaining to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, workers’ compensation and unemployment benefits. Fleury also regularly counsels employers on these topics and wage and hour issues, employment agreements, restrictive covenants and employee discipline. He has taken more than 100 cases to verdict throughout his career.

In addition to his work in the Labor and Employment Group, Fleury is a member of the firm’s Investigations and Criminal Defense Group. Fleury assists institutions and individuals in all aspects of investigations, including internal investigations of alleged hostile work environments, discrimination and sexual harassment. He also represents clients in investigations by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Fleury earned his law degree at Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and was a cum laude graduate of Dickinson College. He also was a member of the Class of 2018 at Leadership Lancaster.
In addition to Fleury, three Saxton & Stump attorneys were elevated from associate to senior counsel: Alyssa A. Adams, Denean M. Russo and Kiandra D. Steffy. Adams is a member of the Saxton & Stump Trucking and Commercial Transportation Group, helping tractor-trailer drivers navigate the legal system when they are involved in an accident. Russo is a member of the Saxton & Stump Business, Corporate and Tax, Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Financial Services and Corporate Healthcare and Life Sciences groups. Steffy practices in the Saxton & Stump Labor and Employment, Title IX and Commercial Litigation Groups as well as the Investigations and Criminal Defense Group.
All four new positions took effect Jan. 1, 2023.
