Saxton & Stump has been recognized in the 2026 Philadelphia and Pittsburgh largest law firm rankings, reflecting the firm’s continued growth, expanding geographic footprint, and increasing presence in key Pennsylvania legal markets.
In the newly released ranking from the Pittsburgh Business Times, Saxton & Stump debuted at No. 80 on the publication’s Pittsburgh-area law firms based on the number of attorneys in the region. The publication ranked more than 170 firms, marking an important milestone in the firm’s continued investment in western Pennsylvania. The recognition reflects the firm’s expanding attorney base and growing client work in the Pittsburgh region.
In Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Business Journal ranked Saxton & Stump No. 31 among 127 firms, maintaining a strong position in one of the nation’s most competitive legal markets. The firm has consistently remained among the leading firms in the region as it continues to build depth across core practices and serve a broad client base throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.
“These rankings reflect the strength of our people and the deliberate approach we’ve taken to grow in the right markets, at the right pace,” Saxton & Stump Chairman James W. Saxton said. “As we continue to expand our presence across Pennsylvania and in other states, our focus remains on delivering practical, high-quality counsel and innovative services through our expanding portfolio of affiliate companies.”
Both rankings are based on local attorney headcount data from firms across the state.
