Bianca Basilone is an attorney in the Saxton & Stump Franchising, Licensing and Distribution Group, working with clients on establishing their business and expanding it into new markets while protecting intellectual property and negotiating and enforcing licensing agreements. Prior to coming to Saxton & Stump, she worked as a law clerk for U.S. District Court of the District of Delaware for the Hon. Sherry R. Fallon. As a clerk, she drafted opinions and orders for the judge, along with reports and recommendations, bench memoranda regarding patent infringement, civil rights, securities fraud, asbestos, personal injury, workers’ compensation and social security disability appeals. Bianca also spent time as a law clerk at a large Philadelphia law firm where she assisted in the firm’s patent litigation cases. She also interned at the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

Before entering the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Bianca worked as an analytical chemist for the Delaware Division of Forensic Science in its Toxicology Unit. She attended court hearings in Delaware Superior Court to testify on forensic evidence and analyzed thousands of suspected DUI and postmortem biological specimens for drugs and alcohol while also training other chemists, laboratory technicians and interns. She also worked for a year as a laboratory technician while still attending West Chester University, where she earned a B.S. in forensic and toxicological chemistry and graduating magna cum laude.
