Cody Deckert is an associate in the Saxton & Stump Trusts and Estates Group as well as the Business, Corporate and Tax Group. Cody helps clients with business planning, incorporation, entity conversions and real estate transactions incidental to asset protection and estate planning. He also drafts wills, trusts, powers of attorney and utilizes other sophisticated estate planning techniques to create or preserve multi-generational wealth for his clients.

Cody has worked with high and ultra-high net-worth individuals and families to achieve their personal, financial and philanthropic objectives, specifically assisting with estate and tax planning. He represents fiduciaries in probate and estate planning administration matters, and works with clients on business continuity, tax planning, charitable planning and asset protection. He has also worked with clients on international taxation, civil litigation and tax controversy matters.

Cody played varsity football for the Hampden-Sydney College Tigers in Virginia and participated on the Tiger’s club lacrosse team while he earned his undergraduate degrees in Government and Spanish. Cody went on to graduate from the Charleston School of Law and the Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned his J.D. and Executive LL.M. in Taxation respectively.
