Collin T. Keyser is a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Healthcare Litigation group. He is an experienced litigator, representing clients in healthcare, commercial and franchise disputes, drawing on extensive courtroom experience that includes numerous depositions and trials taken to verdict. That experience informs his approach to complex matters involving significant legal, operational and business considerations.
Beyond his healthcare practice, Collin applies that trial-tested perspective to commercial and franchise disputes, providing clients with focused and strategic representation from the earliest stages of a matter through resolution. He works to identify the issues that matter most, develop persuasive positions and anticipate how a dispute may evolve, allowing him to pursue strategies aligned with each client’s broader business objectives. Whether seeking an early resolution or preparing for a hearing, arbitration or trial, Collin approaches each matter with an understanding of both the immediate legal issues and their potential impact on the client’s operations and business.
Collin’s healthcare practice is grounded in years of experience defending physicians, hospitals, and long-term and post-acute care facilities in medical professional liability matters involving complex medical and legal issues. He also advises healthcare and senior care providers on risk mitigation strategies, tools and policies designed to reduce adverse events and potential liability. When claims arise, Collin draws on his extensive trial experience to defend healthcare providers and facilities in litigation and arbitration throughout Pennsylvania. He has also lectured on litigation, risk management and liability issues affecting the senior care industry and is an active member of LeadingAge PA.
Prior to obtaining his law degree, Collin obtained his bachelors in Rhetoric from Bates College. During his undergraduate studies, Collin was President of the Brooks Quimby Debate Council where he competed in debate tournaments throughout New England and internationally.
Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert Simpson, Jr., Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he worked for a few years at one of the leading law firms in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania before relocating to Lancaster.
