Darlene K. King chairs the Saxton & Stump Risk Management and Quality Assurance group. With more than 20 years of healthcare litigation experience, Darlene concentrates her practice in the representation of hospitals, doctors and healthcare professionals. She guides healthcare clients with issues involving risk mitigation, crisis management and quality assurance. She oversees loss control and risk management platforms for several captive professional liability insurance programs, some national in scope.
Darlene has been very involved with analyzing risk management and claims reduction strategies, development of specialty-specific risk mitigation programs, electronic medical record implications in litigation, medical ethics and physician health risk management initiatives.
Darlene’s comprehensive healthcare litigation experience encompasses all aspects of professional negligence litigation from inception to trial. She also has advised clients concerning compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations and has represented healthcare clients before the state licensing board.
Darlene is regularly invited to speak before local and national organizations including the American Urological Association, the Radiological Society of North America, the Medical Professional Liability Association (formerly the PIAA), the Minimally Invasive Surgery Symposium and the Delaware Valley Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Additionally, she has co-authored numerous articles on healthcare related issues.
