Dr. David Lewin is a medical consultant specializing in pathology and laboratory medicine. He also has an academic focus in gastrointestinal pathology, liver pathology, and pancreatic pathology.
Dr. Lewin is the director of gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina Health and is a nationally recognized anatomic and clinical pathologist. He is the former president of the Rodger C. Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society and a former president at the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
Dr. Lewin holds administrative positions at Medical University of South Carolina Health as the vice chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at MUSC, the chair of the Institutional Review Board 3, and the pathology department’s promotion and tenure committee.
