Eli is an associate for Saxton & Stump in the firm’s Charleston office. He works primarily in the firm’s Real Estate Group, where he handles foreclosures, actions to quiet title, partitions, works with clients on probate matters to divide up property in heirship actions, adverse possession, breach of contract disputes and title work.  

He is also part of the firm’s Condos, HOAs and Planned Communities Group, where he represents HOA clients. He works with the HOAs as general counsel for day-to-day legal matters, including filing liens, foreclosing on liens and assisting with litigation. In the firm’s Construction Litigation Group, he works on real property litigations including foreclosures, construction defects and breach of contract disputes. 

Eli also maintains an active education practice, as he is part of the firm’s team representing the Charleston County School District. He works with the CCSD and other educational entities on: 

  • Student discipline 
  • Special education 
  • Freedom of Information Act requests 
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) 
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

Eli provides pro bono support to Charleston County’s Housing Court, a pilot project established in 2019 through a partnership with One80 Place Legal. He aids the program’s attorneys by conducting research and participating in the client intake process. While attending law school, Eli gained experience as a legal assistant at a regional law firm where he drafted legal documents and maintained case files.
