Eli E. Lachenman, Esq., focuses his practice on a range of property, business, corporate, estate and hospitality litigation. He is able to provide services to developers, contractors, home owners associations, corporations, limited liability corporations and general partnerships, as well as beverage retailers, distributors, restaurants, hotels, bars, private clubs, music and entertainment venues, breweries, wineries, distilleries and other liquor licensees in South Carolina on all aspects of liquor licensing and alcohol law.
Eli has experience serving clients’ litigation, corporate and business operations, construction and hospitality needs. Eli assists his hospitality clients by working with the South Carolina Department of Revenue to obtain liquor licensing, as well as franchising, trademarking, litigation and acting as general counsel.
In his role as a litigator, Eli is experienced in all stages of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, trial preparation and appearing for court proceedings and settlement conferences.
Outside of his practice with Saxton & Stump, Eli provides pro bono support to Charleston County’s Housing Court, a pilot project established in 2019 through a partnership with One80 Place Legal. He aids the program’s attorneys by conducting research and participating in the client intake process. While attending law school, Eli gained experience as a legal assistant at a regional law firm where he drafted legal documents, maintained case files, and participated in all aspects of litigation.
