Jody Anderson Leighty is a shareholder with over 30 years of experience in the Saxton & Stump Real Estate and Trusts and Estates groups, guiding individuals and families through the process of buying, selling, refinancing, and leasing property. In her Trusts and Estates practice, she works with clients to develop essential estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, and assists families with Estate Administration after a death. She also represents many agricultural clients in business, agricultural preservation, and succession planning.
A native of southern York County, Jody began her practice at Stock & Leader alongside her father, D. Reed Anderson, where she was the chair of the Real Estate group. She earned her law degree from the College of William and Mary Marshall Wythe School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Clemson University.
Jody has a strong presence in her community as the chair of the Northern Central Railway of York Board of Directors, a director of the York County Community Foundation Board and chair of its Distribution Committee, York County Prison Review Board, Centre Presbyterian Church Elder, and former director of PA Farm Link.
The Central Penn Business Journal has recognized Jody on its 2018 “Women of Influence” and “Forty Under 40” lists.
