Joel has been practicing law for more than 25 years. He practices out of the firm’s offices in Linwood, New Jersey and Philadelphia, and uses his background in business and taxation to the benefit of both businesses and individuals. He helps business clients in all aspects of planning, structure and operations including formation, complex tax matters, tax-free reorganizations, foreign business ventures, asset or equity sales and purchases, commercial relationships, real estate transactions, financings and licensure. Joel has gained a reputation as a fierce advocate for his clients and his clients have come to rely upon him in handling general litigation matters. He advocates for clients in variety of Municipal Court matters, Criminal Court Matters, Family Court Matters, Probate Matters, as well as both Federal District Court and United States Bankruptcy Court matters.

Prior to joining Saxton & Stump, since 2004, Joel owned and operated a solo law practice in South Jersey, thus honing skills in operations, marketing and general business matters. In this capacity he worked with clients on tax, estate planning, bankruptcy and real estate issues, with a focus on complex tax issues for both businesses and individuals.

Joel has and continues to work as in-house counsel for a Southern New Jersey-based, family-owned bio-tech company. In this capacity, he helps the company primarily by providing advice on business matters (national and international) as well as handling all litigation for claims by or against the business. Joel also has significant experience advising franchisors and franchisees.
