John Feichtel is a shareholder in the Saxton & Stump Corporate Healthcare and Life Sciences Group, with a practice that also spans the firm’s Business and Corporate and Real Estate groups. With 30 years of experience advising healthcare organizations and closely held businesses, John brings deep insight into the corporate, transactional, and regulatory considerations that shape growth, investment, and long-term operational strategy. Based in the firm’s Harrisburg office, John serves healthcare organizations and businesses across Pennsylvania.
John’s practice is heavily focused on corporate healthcare transactions and advisory work, representing a wide range of healthcare providers, from physician and dental practices to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, laboratories, medical equipment providers, medical device manufacturers, surgery centers, and urgent care providers. He regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic affiliations, helping healthcare organizations structure transactions that support expansion, consolidation, and operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment.
Drawing on his extensive experience in healthcare regulation, John counsels clients on compliance matters involving HIPAA, the Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute, integrating regulatory analysis into broader corporate and transactional strategies. He frequently works with buyers, sellers, and investors in for-profit healthcare entities, guiding ownership transitions and partnership structures that balance business objectives with regulatory risk.
In addition to his healthcare practice, John advises businesses across industries on core corporate matters, including entity selection and formation, business acquisitions and sales, corporate governance, and succession planning. He supports clients throughout the full business life cycle, providing practical, strategic counsel aligned with their growth and exit objectives.
John’s practice also includes commercial and residential real estate transactions, with experience in acquisitions, leasing, financing, and sales that often complement his healthcare work.
Beyond his legal practice, John has been an adjunct professor at Penn State Dickinson Law and Harrisburg Area Community College. He is also a former board member of the Cumberland Valley Eagle Foundation.
