Joseph W. Brucker is an attorney in the Saxton & Stump Senior Care and Trusts and Estates groups. He works with continuing care retirement communities, post-acute and long-term care facilities, assisted living residences, doctors, nurses, and more on regulatory and operational needs, risk mitigation, compliance, and litigation. He previously worked as a law clerk at a Philadelphia-area firm while still in law school, as well as working in an extern position at the Delaware County Register of Wills & Clerk of Orphans’ Court Division.
Before moving into law, Joseph held management positions in various offices throughout his graduate school alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a master’s degree in public administration. He also held leadership roles in the school’s Pension Research Council, Boettner Center for Retirement Research, and the Annenberg School of Communications.
Joseph also has high-level corporate tax experience as an associate at a global management consulting company focusing on mid-level businesses. He prepared tax returns on behalf of partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and high-net-worth individuals, and also filed automatic and non-automatic accounting method changes with the IRS on behalf of corporate clients. He is working toward his LL.M. in taxation at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he previously received his law degree.
