M. Calvin Brackin is an associate in the Saxton & Stump Charleston, S.C., office, working in the firm’s Business, Corporate and Tax Group as well as the Commercial Litigation Group. He works with business clients of all sizes on legal issues such as business formation, governance documents, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and litigation.

Calvin earned his J.D. at the Charleston School of Law and is a graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a B.S. in Economics. In law school, Calvin was the Editor-in-Chief of the Maritime Law Bulletin, served as a research assistant, and competed on the school’s Trial Advocacy Board. While at Clemson, he served as Outreach Director for the Student Body Government, was a member on the school’s Economics Department Student Advisory Board and was president of the Economics Club. He also helped establish the school’s “It’s On Us” campaign, a national organization dedicated to raising awareness of sexual assault on college campuses.
