Michelle Tuckerman is a Senior Risk and Safety Consultant in Saxton & Stump’s Healthcare and Risk Management and Quality Assurance groups, where she partners with physicians, advanced practice professionals, and healthcare organizations to reduce exposure, strengthen compliance, and protect both patients and reputations. Drawing on more than three decades of clinical and risk management experience, Michelle helps clients move from reactive problem-solving to proactive, data-informed risk strategies that support safer care and stronger operational performance.
A registered nurse by training, Michelle’s career spans bedside care, clinical analytics, and risk leadership. She brings practical insight into event management, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and claims mitigation – translating complex healthcare regulations and emerging risk trends into actionable guidance for providers and practice leaders. Her approach centers on building trusted relationships and fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Michelle is a leader within the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management, where she is currently the president-elect of the organization’s board of directors. She will assume the presidency in June 2026, following prior service as secretary.
She holds a registered nurse license in the state of Michigan and is a certified professional in patient safety and healthcare risk management. Michelle earned her M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Michigan University.
