Dr. Sydney Guo is a medical consultant and board-certified vascular surgeon with more than two decades of clinical, academic, and research experience. Dr. Guo is based in the Los Angeles area and is an attending vascular surgeon and Founder at Ventura County Vascular Specialists.
Dr. Guo previously served as a partner and attending vascular surgeon at West Coast Vascular in California and at Cardiac, Vascular, & Thoracic Surgery Associates in Virginia. He holds hospital privileges at multiple institutions in Southern California, including Community Memorial Hospital, St. John’s Regional Medical Center, and Ventura County Medical Center. He has been on the clinical faculty of the Community Memorial Hospital Residency Program in Ventura, California for over 10 years. He is serving on the Medical Executive Committee at Community Memorial Hospital as the Chair of the Department of Surgery.
Dr. Guo earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his general surgery training and a vascular surgery fellowship at UCLA, where he also conducted research on molecular mechanisms in vascular pathology and tumorigenesis. He is also fluent in the Chinese dialects of Mandarin.
