Zachary J. Duffy is an attorney in the firm’s Healthcare Litigation group with extensive experience in helping healthcare organizations, hospitals and physicians defend medical malpractice claims brought against them. Before coming to Saxton & Stump, he worked at three different Philadelphia-area law firms following his graduation from the Villanova University School of Law, where he gained experience in medical malpractice defense and risk mitigation best practices.

During his career, Zach has handled all levels of medical malpractice cases. He’s built defense strategies, performed direct and cross-examinations in the arbitration setting, developed and performed deposition questioning, and prepared expert witnesses for testimony. To keep malpractice claims from ever happening, he’s presented to new doctors regarding proactive practice habits that may help avoid malpractice claims. Zach has guided clients through alternative dispute resolution when warranted.

Zach has also served as a mentor for young attorneys-to-be through firm internship programs. In law school, he was a board member of the Villanova Pro Bono Society, which included a leadership role in the Pro Bono Society’s annual service trip in which law students volunteered for advocacy on behalf of vulnerable communities through Southeast Louisiana Legal Services. During his time at Villanova, Zach was a certified legal intern for the Villanova Civil Justice Clinic.
