Darlene K. King Presents at the American Urological Association Annual Meeting
Lancaster County, PA, May 18, 2016 – Saxton & Stump’s Darlene K. King, Senior Counsel, presented “Medical Malpractice in Urology: How to Prevent and Defend 3.0” at the 111th American Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting held May 6-10, 2016 in San Diego, CA.
During her presentation, Ms. King discussed the changes in the new healthcare environment and provided opportunities for urologists to reduce their litigation exposure, including using patient experience tools in their practice, properly documenting patient engagement and communicating effectively when an adverse outcome occurs.
The AUA Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of urologists in the world, providing access to groundbreaking research, new guidelines and the latest advances in urologic medicine.
Ms. King is Chair of the Saxton & Stump’s Risk Mitigation & Safety team. She concentrates her practice in the representation of hospitals, doctors and health care professionals in health care litigation, including medical malpractice defense. Ms. King guides health care clients with issues involving risk management, crisis management, patient care and liability exposure.
