This year, the Pennsylvania legislature made significant changes to the laws governing condominiums, cooperatives, and planned communities. These changes have a direct impact on all players in the industry including individuals who live in, create, or manage a common interest community.

Act 17, which was passed this spring, addresses how to resolve disputes between unit owners and associations. Act 84 pertains to several issues affecting Pennsylvania communities including governing association management and stormwater facility maintenance.
