Bijan Ghom practices in the firm’s Charleston office where he handles commercial litigation, business and corporate law, and labor and employment matters for businesses and individuals. A former business owner with a master’s degree in business administration, he regularly works with business clients to assist with transactions and litigation. He has experience litigating a range of areas for business owners, employers, fiduciaries, beneficiaries and individuals.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Bijan founded a number of technology-driven businesses, including a web-based SaaS (software as a service) development company, co-founding Jockbrokers, a patented sports fantasy investing application, and Universal Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency platform which was later sold to a foreign investor. With a successful background growing technology start-ups, Bijan advises business owners of all sizes to help overcome the many challenges they face from initial launch through exit. Keeping his client’s business objectives in mind, Bijan has negotiated and drafted a wide variety of agreements related to general corporate governance, executive compensation, non-compete, intellectual property, and other business matters.

Bijan has been recognized by Best Lawyers as one of South Carolina’s “Ones to Watch” in Commercial Litigation in 2021 and 2022. He was also named a 2022 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters independent rating service for lawyers.

Prior to joining the firm, Bijan was an attorney at Rosen Hagood, a law firm with a great history in Charleston, SC. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, his J.D. from Charleston School of Law, and his M.B.A. from the College of Charleston.
