Brandon R. Conrad, Esq. focuses his practice in healthcare litigation, commercial litigation, real estate litigation and labor and employment. He has represented doctors, hospitals and other healthcare professionals in over 250 medical professional liability lawsuits and pre-suit investigations. He has gained intensive trial and arbitration experience in cases involving complex medical issues of various specialties, including cardiothoracic surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, infectious disease, urology, psychology, obstetrics, gynecology and cardiology. Brandon also represents companies and individuals in various commercial litigation disputes including non-competition and non-solicitation litigation, breach of contract and collections issues, banking lender-liability and loan workout disputes, residential and commercial landlord-tenant conflicts, intellectual property litigation, real estate zoning variances, indemnification challenges and product liability disputes. Brandon also conducts internal investigations for religious establishments, schools, corporations and other organizations across the country.
After law school, Brandon practiced in the labor and employment group in the Chicago office of Morgan Lewis and Bockius, a national law firm, where he represented employers in age, race and sex discrimination cases; wage and hour class action litigation involving overtime requirements; and ERISA class action litigation involving both fiduciary duties and excessive “fees” in employer-provided retirement plans.
Brandon comes from a family of health care providers including his father (orthopedic surgeon), mother (stroke program coordinator) and two of his four sisters (NICU nurse and cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant).

Won defense verdict for a pediatric practice in an “admitted liability” medical malpractice case. The practice was sued for its accidental filing of a psychologist’s evaluation of the plaintiff without having a pediatrician review it, causing an alleged 8-year delay in instituting appropriate psychologic treatment.
