Elizabeth J. Palmer, Esq. is a shareholder for Saxton & Stump in the firm’s Charleston office. Beth partners with businesses to provide guidance on operational issues such as risk management, contracts and employment matters. When disputes arise, Beth has developed a reputation for guiding clients to solutions through litigation, mediation, or arbitration while keeping their needs and interests top-of-mind. She regularly represents businesses and professionals in the hospitality, real estate, non-profit, and industrial distribution industries.

Beth also assists clients with trust and estate litigation and provides representation for estate representatives, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and heirs. Her focus is on resolving issues of probate administration, will contests, undue influence and coercion, issues of capacity, and breaches of fiduciary duty.

In the community, Beth is active in the American Bar Association (ABA) and currently chairs the Bullyproof Committee of the ABA’s Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice. She played a key role in developing and implementing Bullyproof, a national anti-bullying initiative for schools that began in 2013. Beth also serves as a Board Member for Be A Mentor, a Charleston non-profit empowering youth to reach their full potential through mentorship.

Prior to joining the firm, Beth was a partner at Rosen Hagood, a Charleston, S.C. based law firm. She earned her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Represented a regional developer in an action brought by investors alleging securities violations, fraud, and breach of contract.

Represented a private foundation named as a beneficiary of a trust in a matter involving lack of capacity and undue influence issues.
