Paolo R. Shipman, Esq.
Paolo R. Shipman, Esq. focuses his practice in healthcare litigation, representing doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in medical professional liability cases. He is a member of the Business and Corporate Law Group, where he handles a variety of commercial matters for businesses of all sizes, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, entity formation, and sales and distribution. He also practices in the area of intellectual property where he assists with copyright and trademark registration, protection, and infringement.
During his undergraduate studies at New York University, Paolo was an executive board member of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. In law school at Widener University, he served as a summer clerk to the Honorable Robert “Robin” Simpson, Jr., Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. In addition, he served as a law clerk for a large personal injury law firm, in their Harrisburg, PA office, where he gained valuable litigation experience in the areas of casualty and personal injury. Paolo was Executive Managing Editor of the Widener Law Journal. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the CALI Award, which he received five times during law school for the highest grade in his class; Best Oralist; and most recently, a Business Advising Certificate.
Paolo comes from a family of attorneys including his grandfather who served 35 years as a judge of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas; his father who served as a personal injury attorney for over 50 years; his mother who serves as a Magisterial District Judge in Northampton County; and his brother, a criminal defense attorney in Northampton County.
