Ryan Alpaugh is a cybersecurity analyst working out of Saxton & Stump’s Lancaster office. He is responsible for monitoring, identifying, analyzing, and responding to potential security incidents by conducting regular security assessments and developing and updating the firm’s incident response plans.
Ryan has 20 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, software development, and information assurance. Most recently, he served as an IT Security Analyst for the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, where he acted as a key resource on regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI, PII, FERPA), led external HIPAA and PCI audits, built out the organization’s vulnerability management program, and partnered with the FBI, CISA, and other agencies on security preparedness exercises. He also led Third-Party Risk Management efforts, evaluating vendor security postures and negotiating risk mitigations on behalf of the organization.
Earlier in his career, Ryan spent 12 years with the United States Air Force. As an Information Assurance Manager, he handled cyber incidents for a 3,500-person unit and a fleet of 27 aircraft, managing vulnerability programs and system security. Before that, as a Software Developer, he spent nearly a decade building and maintaining applications using languages like C++, C#, and Java.
Ryan holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), along with a Computer Systems Programming certificate from the United States Air Force Technical School.
