On May 8, 24 counties in the northwest and north-central regions of Pennsylvania will move from the “red” to the “yellow” phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening process including Bradford, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lycoming, McKean, Mercer, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, Venango and Warren.

Department of Health issues FAQs about employee and customer safety order for funeral homes and cemeteries

The Pennsylvania Secretary of Health has issued answers to frequently asked questions about the April 15, 2020 order requiring employee and customer safety measures – including masks – at businesses continuing in-person operations. These FAQs provide important updates, including some specific to death care operations:

Funeral intern regulation suspended

Gov. Tom Wolf has temporarily suspended the Funeral Board regulation requiring resident interns to restart their internship if it is interrupted for 30 days or more. Until the COVID-19 emergency ends, interns are not required to restart their internship unless it is interrupted by 120 days or more.
