Ronald H. Pollock, Esq., Chair of the Construction Law Group, focuses his practice in construction litigation and has significant experience in insurance and medical device litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He also works with the firm’s Intellectual Property Group to resolve disputes in trademark and copyright matters both prior to and through the litigation process. Ron serves as a trial lawyer with case experience in both state and federal court. His practice involves the representation of business owners, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers and more.
Within the area of construction, Ron specializes in litigation, indemnification and bid challenges, and assists in reviewing contracts and agreements to help clients avoid potential lawsuits as a form of risk management. He speaks frequently with industry leaders and writes articles dealing with construction contract preparation, interpretation and administration.
Ron is a member of the Insurance Law Group and has extensive experience with personal injury and property damage matters, representing insurance companies and individuals. He has dealt with cases involving toxic tort litigation, mold claims, products liability claims and other product defect litigation on the regional and national level. Additionally, he takes care of catastrophic permanent injury claims and complex workers’ compensation issues. With his ability to interpret various insurance policies and language, he helps resolve conflicts between insurers and insureds.
Recently, Ron was appointed to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program (ADR) instituted in Luzerne County due to allegations of judicial misconduct in the Luzerne County Bench. Among other attorneys and retired judges, Ron served as a Judge Pro Tempore for the conciliation and/or trial of specially-assigned civil cases.
Ron graduated from The Dickinson School of Law, cum laude. He has received numerous honors including being chosen as a Select Lawyer in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Construction Law and General Civil Litigations.
