Saxton & Stump promotes three women to equity shareholder
LANCASTER, Pa., January 6, 2021 — Saxton & Stump announced that attorneys Kathleen Duffy Bruder, Emina Henne and Erin Redding have been named equity shareholders with the firm effective January 1, 2021, recognizing their exceptional work, client service and professional contributions.

Kathleen Duffy Bruder
Attorney and Pennsylvania lobbyist Kathleen Duffy Bruder, former Deputy Chief of Staff under Gov. Tom Corbett, joined Saxton & Stump in May 2020 to lead its Regulatory and Government Affairs practice. She is passionate about helping clients navigate challenges and opportunities that involve all levels of government and connecting clients to government decision makers. With more than 25 years of experience as both a litigator and lobbyist, she has an extensive network of contacts and the knowledge necessary to develop strategies with clients and influence decision makers in the federal, state and local government and within the three branches. Bruder received her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law and her B.S. in Economics and Finance from the University of Scranton.
Henne joined Saxton & Stump as an associate attorney when it was founded in 2015 to support the firm’s Healthcare Law and Risk Mitigation and Safety groups. She focuses her practice in the representation of hospitals, doctors and other healthcare liability matters, including medical malpractice defense. She has extensive experience in defending professional liability claims in court and trial preparation. Emina regularly advises clients on risk management and patient safety regulatory compliance and provides support in the implementation of policies and procedures. Henne is a Pennsylvania registered nurse (RN) and prior to practicing law, worked as a critical care nurse and risk management professional. In this role, she gained extensive clinical experience which enables her to provide unparalleled insight and value to healthcare industry clients. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law and BSN, summa cum laude, from Widener University.
Redding also joined Saxton & Stump as an associate attorney when it was founded in 2015 to support the firm’s Healthcare Law and Medical Device Litigation groups. She focuses her practice in the defense of physicians, hospitals and other healthcare professionals in professional liability litigation and other general liability claims. As part of Saxton & Stump’s Medical Device Litigation group, Redding, along with the firm’s team of medical providers, has investigated and then litigated dozens of complex medical device and medical professional liability claims. As part of that investigation and litigation, she has worked with clients to provide guidance and counsel for various aspects with medical device litigation, including the implementation of e-discovery protocols and effective resolution of other discovery disputes. Redding has also prepared for depositions conducted nationally and internationally and works with medical and industry experts across the country to develop a strategic and formidable defense. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude from Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Delaware Valley College.
